In this lesson, we'll explore the concept of thinking about the future with Dr. Robin. We'll unpack how our brains are wired to constantly strive, and why that can sometimes make it hard to appreciate the present.
We'll also look at how our individual perspectives – whether we're focused on the future, the past, or the present – shape our experiences. There's no right or wrong way to be, but understanding your own tendencies can be incredibly helpful. Most importantly, we'll introduce the concept of the "bucket" – a metaphor for your emotional well-being. What fills your bucket with joy and energy? What drains it? Learning to identify these things is key to creating a fulfilling life, both now and in the future. So, let's get started on understanding ourselves and how to build a brighter "now."
